Barnet's Digital workplace programme extends on the first wave deployment of Office 365 toolsets. This initial phase deployed the core Office 365 toolsets of Email and Skype for Voice and Collaboration. The next phase looks to adopt the remaining Office 365 tools (Teams, SharePoint and PowerApps) and modernisation of the desktop environment to further improve productivity in the context of mobile and collaborative working.This role is for a Technical Business Analyst working within the Digital Workplace Programme as part of the Customer Support Group function at the London Borough of Barnet. The role is responsible for:


Requirements gathering and analysis of requirements, for transition and final state

User adoption strategies to drive adoption and acceptance, measurement of Key Performance Indicators related to adoption

Collaborating with project managers, solution architects, network architects, business stakeholders and customer representatives to understand and translate business requirements into appropriate solutions

Review of technical solutions to assure solutions meet the business needs

User documentation, tailoring generic materials and making them fit specific requirements

Tracking requirements against deliverables and assure that programme goals are met

Stakeholder management, working with senior stakeholders

Review and creation of Test Plans to assure the delivery of solutions

Creation of Communications and communication plans to meet stakeholder engagement requirements


PERSON SPECIFICATION


Excellent written and verbal communications skills

Local Government implementation experience with knowledge of Government security standards

Business requirements analysis

Dealing with ambiguity

Driving user adoption strategies within Office365

Flexible and intelligent approach, used to working within the constraints of fixed price engagements and well versed in Change Control methodology

Must be able to demonstrably work well as part of a project team

Ability to work to agreed deadlines, cost, scope & quality, management of risk, stakeholder management i.e. project management principles & practices

Ability to personally manage a diverse workload and able to deal with a variety of user queries, and develop work packages that describe scope & approach of activities undertaken

Ability to deal with differing levels of IT awareness, from within own team and user base

Capable of working under pressure on some occasions, and flexibility in deviations from plan


ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE


Has significant real-world Business Analysis experience working in a similar governmental environment

Has significant experience working within structured frameworks like TOGAF, ITIL and PRINCE

Has significant experience of working on a large cultural change program and driving user adoption strategies for toolsets like (OneDrive, SharePoint and Teams)

Able to articulate and present ideas in a clear and concise manner, with ability to flex between summary/ full detail and non-technical/ technical language, depending on the target audience

Provide direct, credible and authoritative interaction with colleagues and customer alike
