As our Software Engineer - Development Environment your are assigned to an engineering team. Your greatest gratification is to see the engineering team excel and you made it possible. You will take over following tasks amongst other:


Work closely with the engineering team and IT department to identify inefficiencies in the development tools and processes used

Design, develop, and maintain the needed software tools either by integrating into existing software or as stand-alone tools

Keep track of the state-of-the-art in tooling to make informed decisions.

Track and sync with IT regarding tool upgrades

Act as the team’s link to the IT department

Deploy tools and define their usage and processes that embody compliance to standards such as ISO 26262

Support tool confidence analysis

Conduct trainings and update documentation on tool usage for your colleagues

Manage and track hardware development boards used for testing and development



You have completed a B.Sc. or M.Sc. in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or in a related field

Experience of software development

You are familiar with:

Linux/Android

Build systems for C, and dependency management: make, ant, gradle, etc.

Common scripting languages (Bash, Perl, Python or Groovy)



You have very good command of English, spoken and written

Quality is of high importance to you

Although you are member of a team you appreciate to work independently

Your method of cooperation is constructive and goal-oriented


Furthermore, experience in some of the following fields is of high value:


Go programming

Atlassian tools (Confluence/Jira/Bitbucket)

Siemens Polarion connectors (e.g. Enterprise Architect,…)

Continuous integration tools (e.g. Bamboo, Jenkins, Gradle, Artifactory, etc.)

Static code analysis tools

MIL, SIL, HIL testing

Code coverage tools

Requirement management tools

Software Architecture Design tools

Automated test tools

Bootloaders/bare-metal software

Virtualization technology

Participation in audits (e.g. ISO26262)
