Your tasks and responsibilities: * You act as Senior Software Architect for cloud- and on-prem-based platforms for the development and deployment of AI-based medical imaging products through close collaboration with other team members * You work closely with clinical partners and the product team in defining requirements gathering and design, and you engage customers with the latest developments. You also align these architectural requirements with the software development strategy * You are responsible for designing, building, debugging/maintaining and operating resilient distributed computing systems with high-throughput and large-scale data processing and storage * You define technical requirements, security protocols, threat modelling, architecture diagrams and test strategies of the product platform * You provide technical leadership and you collaborate closely with developers, management and other internal and external stakeholders to realize the product vision and technical strategy * You work with the customers technical team (Hospital IT etc.) for the adoption, deployment and monitoring of the product * You closely mentor and guide junior team members towards excellence * You stay abreast of the healthcare industry and market trends. Furthermore, you lead the research and evaluation of emerging technologies

Your qualifications and experience: * You possess a successfully completed university degree in computer science, informatics or similar * You have experience in designing scalable technology solutions that adjust to recurring business patterns e.g. digital data & analytics and Open Source technologies * You have long-term work experience of hands-on software development with a specific portfolio in software architecture or enterprise architecture (Java, C++, Python, Node.js, Javascript etc.). Knowledge of HISA is a big plus * Ideally, you have experience in working with big data analytics through container technologies and orchestrators * Ideally, you bring experience with DevOps like Git, Jenkins, Chef, Puppet etc., network design and operation and CI/CD tools with you * You possess knowledge in full-stack product development from client applications (web-based, on-prem software solutions, mobile applications) to back-end systems (SaaS, PaaS, microservices architecture, data curation/storage etc.). Knowledge of API technologies such as RESTful, CSS, JSON, OAuth, ATOM etc. is preferable * Experience with Agile development methods and quality practices. Understanding of Service-Oriented Architecture is a big plus * Strong understanding of data privacy and security. Experience in secure handling of large-scale clinical data with knowledge of HL-7, FHIR, DICOM etc. is preferable
Your attributes and skills: * You show a high level of emotional intelligence and confidence, and a proven ability to sell ideas to others as well as to your direct team members * Strong communication skills in English (written / oral) are mandatory. Knowledge of the German language is a plus. Ability to establish and document engineering standards is a big plus
