Today we are seeking at Lenovo for our Global Accounts division a Principle Technical Solutions Acquisition Architect. We are seeking enthusiastic, career-minded professionals to join our truly global team. The Principle Technical Solutions Architect (PTSA) will possess thorough knowledge of the technical aspects for the Lenovo product line and support the sales reps in pre-sales activities and post-sales activities as appropriate. The PTSA will perform in depth product presentations and demonstrations on Lenovo core products as well as provide overviews on Lenovo partner/affiliated product offerings (h/w, s/w and services. Strong PC and Server industry knowledge in deployment, security, disposal, connectivity related best practices are required – PTSA have the skills to ‘solution sell’. They understand relative aspects of a customer’s IT infrastructure and its effects and dependencies on Lenovo products. They are a trusted advisor to their technical clients and their management through IT executive levels on h/w, s/w and services integration issues. The PTSA effectively leverages all internal Lenovo technical support, product development and research mechanisms and processes to deliver technical resolutions for required customer engagements, both presales and postsales. When required the PTSA also engages external partners where appropriate to deliver solutions to the customers. Position Requirements Skills Requirements: Drives the technical activities from product overviews to deployment consultations to RFP input for acquisition, development and retention accounts. Formulates technical product selling into customer IT infrastructure terms rather than only pushing a product. Develops technical relationships at the customer senior IT management levels Identifies and drives development opportunities for affiliated partner products to the core Lenovo product portfolio. Acts as trusted advisor in consultation mode on Lenovo implementation (operating systems, drivers, applications, etc) and technical support mechanisms and manages escalations into level 2/3 support teams Continually improve technical knowledge base in self-directed technical discovery of Lenovo products, partner products and general industry related products and issues. Essential Qualifications This is a specialised role where practical experience of the role and environment are more important than formal qualifications. Further education in a scientific or engineering discipline is ideal. Candidates with a minimum of 10 years relevant experience are preferred.
