We are an enthusiastic software engineering team consisting of Operations Engineers, Developers and QA Engineers. We implement and operate business critical sales applications for our brands WEB.DE, GMX, mail.com and De-Mail, used by millions of customers every day. Our contribution is significant to the company's success. In your role as an Operations Engineer you are involved in building up a state-of-the-art DevOps and Continuous Delivery platform which supports automated deployments and scaling for a highly available system performance. As part of a DevOps culture, you work close with development and product management teams.

You focus on operational tasks for building up a cloud native platform based on Docker and the underlying Continuous Integration and Delivery Pipelines.

You participate actively in defining system architectures which meet our strategic and technical objectives in our DevOps environment.

On-call duty required, you will be involved in ensuring a 24/7 availability of our services and applications.

You are part of a friendly environment specially designed to support real-time collaboration while interacting with the latest technologies, having access to educational opportunities, including participating in internal and external technical conferences.

You have completed technical studies or proven experience as System Administrator/Operations Engineer.

You have experience in operating complex system landscapes based on Linux (Debian) and Java (Apache Tomcat/Spring Boot).

You have experience deploying Java based applications and knowledge of related CI/CD tools involved in the deployment process (Git, Artifactory, GitLab CI).

You have experience with networking, routing, firewalls and load-balancing technique.

You have experience and knowledge of configuration and automation tools (Puppet, Chef, Ansible, Saltstack, Rundeck).

You have experience setting up and managing monitoring and logging systems Nagios, Icinga, ELK, Kibana.
