For our location in Darmstadt or one of the other TE locations in Germany we are searching for a Privacy Specialist (m/f)

Have a relevant academic education (e.g. legal) or gained professional experience at that level

(Willingness to develop) expertise in national and European data protection laws and practices

Integrity and high professional ethics

Be able to deal with an often-high workload and set priorities

Project management experience

Ability to communicate and write perfectly in German and up to a professional level in English

Ability to build effective business relationships with colleagues in different countries and cultures

Preparedness to further develop and keep informed of the various new data protection laws and regulations that will impact TE’s business

Play a vital role in the company’s privacy compliance program. Work together with TE’s Global Data Privacy Officer on a wide range of data privacy compliance matters. Depending on the level of experience, in the beginning primarily focused on Europe, but afterwards also focusing on the many non-EU countries that have or will introduce data protection laws:

Work with TE’s Country Data Privacy Officers on keeping their data privacy compliance activities up to date (such as providing notices to employees, updating records of local systems and using country specific data privacy SharePoints);

Inform, advise and provide recommendations to the business on data privacy compliance

Review Privacy Impact Assessments and Vendor Assessments (Data Privacy Questionnaires) and work with project managers and TE’s Information Security specialists to mitigate risks and work on legal compliance

Work with Country Data Privacy Officers and with vendors on negotiating the required data protection clauses that must be part of new IT service agreements

Support with self-assessments and audits on data privacy compliance

Provide support and recommendations for improving TE privacy policies and procedures wherever needed

Communicate with Country Data Privacy Officers on relevant data privacy compliance developments in their countries and how TE must comply

Assist with handling data breach management activities

Be a member of TE’s Privacy Governance Board
