We are looking for a qualified IT Support Engineer to join our expanding professional services team supporting the deployment and maintenance of our highly innovative Biopharma Platform. Genedata’s Biopharma Platform revolutionizes the process of biopharma R&D and we, therefore, have quickly taken a global market leadership position with a rapidly growing client base.
As IT Support Engineer, you will accommodate the installation life cycle of the Genedata Biopharma Platform in the Cloud as well as at customer sites globally. You are responsible for installing, operating, and updating the Genedata Biopharma Platform and contributing to the technical, quality, and process documentation. Furthermore, this interdisciplinary, multi-faceted position offers an exciting opportunity to consult our global customers on IT-related challenges that relate to the effective deployment of the Genedata Biopharma Platform.
The position offers a high level of interactivity and responsibility in a growing company, and the opportunity to work as part of a strong international service team. This full-time position is based at our office in Munich, Germany. It requires flexible working hours to support global projects. Minimal travel might be required.
Support our customers
Provide software roll-outs, upgrades and migrations
Perform cloud installations (Amazon AWS, Microsoft Azure), and provide associated IT services such as backup and disaster recovery in a compliant environment;
Improve our continuous delivery processes by automated software validation capabilities
Support the execution of hardware qualification and installation acceptance using remote access technologies
Handle technical helpdesk requests and perform a case classification, case follow-up and case closure and grow our internal CAPA knowledge base
Support us internally
Provide backend IT services support for the Munich office (Linux server, firewall, backup, IP-phone support)
Manage our in-house production and test installations and related IT service infrastructure
Enforce data management/lifecycle policies and ensure data governance on-premises
Execute and maintain IT SOPs for our hardware and software services
Support the implementation of auditing procedures, SSH key management, DNS management, etc.
Excellent knowledge of Linux/Unix including bash scripting experience
Experience in operating cloud environments such as AWS or Azure
Experience with configuration management tools such as CHEF or puppet is a plus
Experience in IT service management processes such as ITIL, GCP, or GAMP5
Strong interpersonal skills and persistent mindset, committed to effectively communicate within the team
Excellent English in verbal and written communication, German is a plus
Willingness to continuously learn and improve on new technologies and procedures
