Your tasks


Taking responsibility for all data science & data engineering technologies and applications in a cloud environment (GCP), incl. design, development and performance optimizations

Coordination across departments with Product Management, SRE, Localization as well as Backend and Mobile Engineering

Development of data science & data engineering strategies

Work with our agile coaches to foster an agile development environment

Personnel responsibility, including building a high-performance team through recruiting as well as through personal and professional development of the team members


Our requirements


At least 2 years of experience in a leadership position as well as several years of professional experience in the fields of big data and machine learning

Relevant experience with cloud technologies (Google BigQuery or Amazon Redshift, Kubernetes, Docker) as well as with building and maintaining big data microservice architectures

Profound knowledge in data science (A/B testing, time series modelling, statistical modelling) as well as in machine learning (recommendation systems, random forests, deep learning)

Experience in stream processing (knowledge in dealing with Kafka in particular is an advantage)

Practical knowledge of the supervision of big data projects including risk management and data security

Confidence in using Python, R or equivalent is viewed favorably

Strong entrepreneurial thinking & hands-on mentality

Highly self-organized with the ability to prioritize and to work well in a dynamic organization

Excellent communication skills in German and English as well as the ability to work across multiple teams
