This role provides global financial analysis and support for IT related topics. In this role you act as senior financial consultant and advisor on IT topics to the respective business owners and stakeholders including senior management level. You co-ordinate overarching reporting requests on IT investments & expenditures for entire AGCS.


Financial Analysis, Planning & Reporting

Provide required management reporting & analysis (regular and ad-hoc) and financial consultancy for designated area of responsibility

Identify key drivers, risks and opportunities and provide recommendations

Initiate appropriate actions to remediate identified issues and follow through on their remediation. Proactively anticipate and resolve issues before they transpire

Co-ordinate relevant input from various sources as well as amongst peers and matrix functions to come to provide a consolidated global view of the designated area

Present conclusions in a transparent way with robust financial commentary to enable decision making

Drive best practice sharing, global standard setting and harmonization

Find opportunities and drive initiatives to improve and streamline reporting / financial analysis processes

As a member of a global function, align and co-ordinate own area of responsibility within the operational matrix of AGCS (e.g. Regional Hub-teams, other global/regional functions)

Develop and drive cross-functional collaboration across the business to enhance overall business understanding

Project work

Participate in projects to actively contribute to the improvement of financial steering processes and implement initiatives as required. Provide analysis and financial assessment of relevant business cases and change requests

University degree ideally Master, in Business Administration, Economics, Finance, Accounting, Mathematics, or any other analytical science appropriate discipline

Minimum of 5 years proven experience in planning and performance management of financial statements and respective analysis; IT cost controlling experience desired

Analytical thinking and numeracy: Ability to identify patterns and root causes in complex data and processes to rapidly distill key issues and provide insight in various situations

Expense knowledge: In depth knowledge of expense topics and concepts with regards to insurance industry

Proven experience in communication of results (both verbal and in writing) to a variety of stakeholders including senior management. Ability to understand, elaborate and convey information clearly and effectively.

Experienced in Project and team work – ideally in an international and dynamic environment

Excellent command of English (verbal and written) is mandatory, solid command of German would be an advantage

Proven experience in reporting and planning tools (e.g. SAP, SAS APP)

Expert Excel and PowerPoint skills to effectively analyze data and convey messages in a winning fashion

Knowledge of AGCS Business Specifics of advantage (e.g. business flows)
