The products range from leasing, retail financing and dealer financing to commercial fleet management, insurance solutions, banking services and innovative mobility services, like e. g. car2go and moovel. The center of competence for telematics is responsible for the implementation and operation of solutions that extend the classical DFS product portfolio with connected car data and telematics. Exemplary products are dynamic leasing products depending on your driving needs, usage based insurance products, etc. In addition, we support the Daimler CASE program (Connected, Autonomous, Shared, Electric) by implementing new solutions for new DFS products like Microleasing, mobility packages, etc. As IT we are closely working together collocated with our colleagues from different business units (such as sales & marketing, credit, insurance). We own the solutions that we are creating end to end - from the first ideas of the product over defining the software architecture, the implementation to operating the final solution in production. We are open minded, technology-loving and ambitious to finish, what we started. In the team, we work with forefront software solutions, based on microservices, containerization, cloud, API gateways, web and mobile applications. We use a variety of open source solutions, like Kubernetes, Docker, Apigee, KeyCloack, ELK, Grafana, Prometheus - supported by our advanced continuous integration / continuous delivery pipeline consisting of JIRA, Confluence, Bitbucket, GitLab, SonarQube and a self-developed Kubernetes deployment manager called Kubert. Coding brings ideas to life. We are convinced that the sooner we make ideas tangible by creating prototypes the better the final solution will get. Therefore as a DevOps enginner in our team you will:

Be part of an interdisciplinary team of front and back end developers, product owners, subject matter experts, designers, testers to best understand and meet end-user requirements and to implement effective technical solutions

Support Security teams and internal or external developers with DevOps expertise, living the concept of DevSecOps

Provide technical expertise for operating the CI/CD Toolchain, configure or write various automatization tools or scripts

Support Product Owner with application deploy and support Release Manager with application release cycle

Design and build monitoring tools and monitoring processes for our CaaS hosting environment and own built applications

Monitor the applications in production and identify problems

Troubleshoot and debug technical issues

Continuously discover, evaluate, and implement new technologies and methodologies

What you bring to the table: In general: Successfully completed degree in computer science, software engineering, media informatics or equivalent qualification Development:

Very good knowledge in Docker, CaaS, Kubernetes and Linux Operating System; experience with cloud solutions like Azure and IaaS

A lot of professional experience with development and deployment of applications built on APIs/microservices principles

Experience in working with common protocols (e. g. REST, SOAP, API Management)

Operations:

Strong experience with automation and deployment of multi-country web applications

Professional experience in IT Operations and automatization of CI/CD focused on web applications

Good knowledge of configuration management tools (like Chef or Puppet)

Experience in Testing Automatisation and knowledge of basic security topics related to web applications

Experience in hosting and monitoring tools (Grafana, Prometheus, ELK)

Others:

Strong communications skills

Excellent written and spoken English and German skills are required
