Description of the job   A vacancy for a Big Data Engineer (m/f) has arisen within Airbus Defence and Space in Manching. The successful applicant will join „TASSI3 - Diagnostics & Service Information“.   Tasks & accountabilities Data exploration Includes searching, selecting and filtering records: Browse, recognize / suggest important attributes and identify frequently used attributes, determine data origin, recognize common patterns   Data modeling / structuring Providing data sets for automatic data models and logical data structures and determining relationships between data source attributes, Apply data mining techniques, perform statistical analyses and use machine learning techniques to integrate analyses into existing solutions and business processes Assistance in aligning the technical and functional evolution of the Airbus Big Data platform   Data products Development and implementation of data visualization of data results Support in the implementation of proof-of-concept and projects within the Eurofighter community   Pioneering role Promoting new working methods and new data governance models Presenting the results to different target groups; from engineers to managers Sharing and exchanging data sources and data sets   This job requires an awareness of any potential compliance risks and a commitment to act with integrity, as the foundation for the Company’s success, reputation and sustainable growth. Skills   Degree in computer science, mathematics or equivalent engineering degree course Experience with data integration, quality and management to combine independent sources to achieve a more complete view Knowledge of statistical analysis (e.g. mean, standard deviation, correlations, etc.) Experience in data manipulation, data cleansing and feature engineering, Programming skills in one or more of the following languages: R, Python, Java, Matlab or similar Knowledge of machine learning, data mining, statistical analysis and modelling Knowledge of visualization tools (such as RShiny, Spotfire, Tableau, etc.) Basic knowledge of Hadoop infrastructure (e.g. HDFS, Spark) Solid experience with SQL technologies (SQL Server, MySQL, Oracle, SAP, BW), NoSQL databases (HBase, MongoDB, ArangoDB, Cassandra), ETL concepts and tools Fluent in German and English Contact   Please apply online for this vacancy at our careers site ( www.jobs.airbus-group.com ) with your CV attached.
